Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Siwai, than trek to Chhomrong (2,170 m/7,120 ft.) – 06 hrs.

From Pokhara, you’ll take a 3-hour drive to Siwai. Then, the trek to Chhomrong village begins. The uphill walk will last around 2 to 3 hours and takes you through beautiful forests and landscapes. The air gets cooler as you go higher. You’ll meet friendly locals and catch glimpses of the stunning Himalayan peaks. In Chhomrong, at 2,170 m/7,120 ft. elevation, you’ll experience the warm hospitality of the Gurung people. It’s a great place to rest after the trek.

Day 05: Trek Chhomrung to Dovan (2,430 m/7,972 ft) – 06 hrs

Today’s trek from Chhomrung to Dovan is an adventurous journey, lasting about 6 hours. Start your day by having breakfast at the Chhomrung tea house. From there, it’s a 25-minute walk to a small stream, which you’ll cross over a suspension bridge. After that, the path becomes steep for the next 2 hours as you make your way to Sinuwa. The trail gradually descends for about 30 minutes through the forest before you reach Bamboo Village, where you can enjoy a relaxing lunch break. After resting, you’ll continue your trek for about an hour through the bamboo forest until you finally reach Dovan.

Dovan is situated in a deep gorge, surrounded by magnificent natural beauty. As you arrive, you’ll find a small area with a few lodges where you can spend the night. From there, the trail becomes easier and gradual, leading us to Deurali, where we find a few tea houses for refreshments.

Beyond Deurali, the trail follows the river, zigzagging between the right and left banks. We trek through the valley for about 2 hours, admiring the surrounding beauty as we approach MBC (Machhapuchhre Base Camp). Here, we take a lunch break and rest before embarking on the final leg of our journey.
