How Much Does the Everest Base Camp Trek Cost for permit ?
What you are paying will depends on the trekking area and route of trekking. generally the lower loop of Everest trek is cheaper compare to upper Everest.
Everest base camp trek price and itinerary-
The Everest base camp trekking can cost about 500 USD for budget trekkers who can walk from Jiri /sivalaya or Bhandara, because you can go there by local bus it means you can save money instead of plane to Lukla and back.
You can walk as long as you can and stay at safe and location if possible and you should get insurance when are there just in case if you get mountain sickness or other problem related to your health.
Note that if you don’t have your sleeping bag and down jacket you can rent from Kathmandu which is about 1 USD per day, depends on quality. The trekking gear are not avail vale to the mountain so whatever you need you can buy them in Kathmandu and save your money.
The cheapest way and budgeting trek can be start from Bhandara which is about 12 hrs drive from Kathmandu by local bus and spent your night there there after that trek to Lamjura and Junbesi continue up to Phakding takes only 4 days and per day you can pay about 15 to 20 USD for 3 times meal and your accommodation in tea house lodges. Returning from Everest base camp you can trek back by same way down to Ringmo than walk another 4 hrs to salary to get jeep back to Kathmandu it takes only 10 hrs to Kathmandu.
The cost for professional experienced guide cost about 40 USD per day and for basic English speakers guide cost 25 USD and porter cost 19 USD about it depends on them and agency some time. The guide might charge more if they are smart and knowledgeable. Note that when you are hiring your guide you should hire license holder guide who are authorized person it means if anything happen during your trek you can easily claim to your related agent or government related office.

DAY 8: Pangboche to Dingboche (4410m)
DAY 9: Acclimatization,
DAY 10: Dingboche to Lobuche (4950m),
DAY 11: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5160m) & Ascend Kalapather (5550m)
DAY 12: Visit Kalapather (5550m) and Descend to Pheriche (4280m),
DAY 13: Pheriche to Namche Bazar (3450m),
DAY 14: Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2610m),
DAY 15: Phakding to Lukla (2860m)

DAY 17: Depart Kathmandu
If you are going through Jiri it takes 4 extra day to Lukla and 3 days way back from Lukla to Sallery if you are not taking plane both way.
